Hi, I’m Percy ‘Danger’ Hydranger!
Job Title: Head of Slurry Management and Waste Valorisation
Email: percy.hydranger@borgsharf.co.uk
Phone: 07700 900589
Percy Hydranger joined Borgsharf Industries in 2019 as Head of Slurry Management and Waste Valorisation. The son of a close associate of the Borgsharf family, Percy studied Environmental Science at the University of Hull, graduating in 2012 after a course that was, by his own admission, considerably extended by circumstances he prefers not to elaborate on. Prior to joining Borgsharf he spent seven years in a series of roles that are difficult to account for on his LinkedIn profile.
Specialism: Nutrient recovery and anaerobic digestion systems, though Percy would be the first to admit he is still getting to grips with the finer details
University: University of Hull, BSc Environmental Science, 2012 (originally enrolled 2008)
Hometown: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Award: Borgsharf Industries Long Service Recognition, 2024 — presented after Percy successfully attended more than half of all scheduled team meetings in a calendar year for the first time
Member of: The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (lapsed)
Fun Fact: Percy holds the Borgsharf Industries record for the longest single lunch break ever recorded — four hours and forty minutes on 14th August 2021 — a fact he neither confirms nor denies but does not appear particularly troubled by.
Work Ethos: Percy believes that slurry management is fundamentally a problem that sorts itself out if you leave it long enough, a view that has not been formally endorsed by the rest of the Borgsharf senior team.
