Borgsharf Industries has been at the heart of British pig farming since 1905. Founded in Wakefield, West Yorkshire by Aldous Borgsharf, the company began as a modest family operation with a single herd and a commitment to doing things properly. More than a century later, that commitment remains unchanged. Today Borgsharf Industries manages 12,823 pigs across its Wakefield sites, making it one of the most established pig production businesses in the north of England.
We operate across the full production cycle — from herd acquisition and genetic selection through to nutrition, welfare, and “processing” — with every decision guided by more than 120 years of accumulated knowledge and a team of specialists who are among the best in the industry.
